One of the most gratifying moments of my job is when my beautiful clients say something along the lines of them forgetting their insecurities when they look at their final images. All those pesky voices in our heads telling us were not good enough, or reminding us of those nasty insecurities or flaws or the constant pressure are overwhelming at times – I know this is true because I face it all the time, just like you do. But that moment, that text or call or that smile they give when they look at their final product…you can see their guard down and her self esteem boosted and often times the tears in her eyes of pride…NOTHING in the world beats that moment for me. Ive said it before and Ill say it again… I love this job.

Usually my clients come in with nerves, of course they do hell they are about to strip down to their skivvies who wouldn’t be? I start the session reminding them Im’their biggest fan, I’m their support system for the day and Ill guide them through the poses, often times demonstrating the pose Im looking for in an exaggerated ridiculous way- why do you think I’m always in leggings? Skinny jeans don’t move that way people. I lay out her outfits and we choose the most modest first to warm her up. I always have her lay down on her back first and we go from there, and I show her a couple test shots so shes reassured of how flipping fantastic she looks!  Within the next minutes she’ll warm up, we’ll talk about life and she will forget Ive got a camera on her, instead she’ll feel like shes talking to her friend.

I pride myself in a candid approach to boudoir photography. I get it, I know its scary at first and I do everything I can to take the pressure off. I talk a lot, I move you a lot, its kind of a workout honestly, I change you to the right lighting position, the right pose to flatter your favorite body parts and I laugh a lot and so will you. Boudoir photography looks often times so serious, but I promise you its just a day with your girlfriend talking and laughing but you just happen to be in your undies =)
